This is Kyle on his new dirt bike in July 2001.

Here are Kyle & Katie spring 2009 on the same dirt bike...
Its amazing how far we all have come.
The Ford Truck in the backround of the 1st picture is the exact truck Kyle received when he turned 16...
Its amazing how far we all have come.
My kids are growing up TOO FAST!

I found Philip in the kitchen with the pizza box open on the floor surrounded by pepperoni. Apparently he does not like pepperoni.

Laundry

Katie folded the laundry tonight without being asked AND I didn't even have to refold it.

Egg Tree

Its a tradition to decorate the tree in our front yard with plastic Easter eggs.

It is amazing to see how the tree has grown, along with my children. We used to be able to decorate the entire tree, now just the lower branches are the lucky ones.

This is the first year Philip participated with the decorating. Watching Katie and Philip work together was pretty cool. Now we are all anxiously awaiting a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Today...

I want to remember today forever. ....
Not because anything extraordinary happened,
but because I know these days won't last forever.
I want to remember the smile on my husbands face when he woke up.
I want to remember watching Katie hug him and tell him she loved him before she left for school.
I want to remember the way Kevin and Philip made his oatmeal together and the conversation that went with it!
I want to remember the way Philip was so proud of himself when he "popped" the lock on the screen door screaming "I GOT IT MOMMY!!"
I want to remember the huge smile on his face when I pushed him as high as I could in his swing and I want to remember how he said "again mommy, AGAIN".
I want to remember the way he threw each and every ball out of his ball pit naming the color of each one as it went flying (all 100 of them).
The way he said "I love you mom" when I put him down for his nap.
I want to remember that he slept on his stomach with his hands tucked under his tummy and that when he woke up he was happy and played in his crib and said "mommy...where are you?" until I went in to get him.
The way he huged me and how warm he was when I picked him up out of his crib.
I want to remember Katie, walking into school after we did our secret handshake.
I want to remember how today was the day I realized that she is growing up and with that I need to let her become more responsible.
I want to remember how excited she was when we talked about that very point.
I want to remember her singing her own made up songs.
I want to remember pushing her on the swing, even though she doesn't need me too.
I want to remember her getting aggravated with her brother and even though our having pizza for dinner was a secret, she told him to go look for it just to get him out of her hair!
I want to remember Philip coming up the back steps yelling "PIZZA!"
and when the doorbell rang he went running yelling "PIZZA!" again.
I want to remember eating on the picnic blanket in the front yard with them
and our dinner of "cold cokes", pizza and wings.
I want to remember watching Katie teach Philip to look for cars before he crosses the street.
Them holding hands as they walked down the sidewalk and that Katie as afraid of dogs as she is..picked up her brother when 2 strays ran by them instead of running herself.
I want to remember them taking a bubble bath and the great conversation the two of them had. I want to remember snuggling with Katie and reading our books,
and the way we both jumped when the timer went off!
I want to remember how sweet Philip looks surrounded by his bunnies and pacis and blankets when I went in to check on him after he is asleep
I want to remember how Katie has not moved since I tucked her in and how she has her arm wrapped around her bear and is lightly snoring.
I want to remember just how lucky I am that I have husband that I adore.
I want to remember how proud I am of him...
I hope I remember this day forever...
